xTap

xTap (“we,” “us”) is a couple app for planning dates, saving places, wishlists, gifts, and shared moments. This policy describes what we collect, why, and how you can ask us to change or delete it.
This applies to people who use the xTap iOS app and xtap.app.
Who can see your data
xTap is built for two linked partners. Some information stays only on your account (for example a surprise list). Shared features are visible to the person you link with a partner code.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-app advertising.
Information we collect
Account and profile
Name, email, sign-in method (Sign in with Apple, Google, Facebook, or email), profile photo, birthday, anniversary, gender, favorites, notes, and a partner code.
Couple activity you create
Taps and check-ins, date plans, calendar events you add in xTap, wishlists, gifts, memories, votes on memories, nudges, in-app messages, photos or files you upload, gym or workout items you save, and optional intimacy or “shared moment” logs you choose to record.
Cycle Care (optional)
If you turn Cycle Care on, we store period start and end dates, cycle length, and related settings. If you choose to share care tips with your partner, they can see a limited care-phase tip. Cycle data is not required to use xTap.
Location
Only if you allow it, and only to show nearby date spots, search Places, and save a place when you log where you are. We do not use location to advertise to you. You can turn location off in iOS Settings.
Camera and photos
Only when you take or choose a photo, or scan a barcode for a wishlist or gift item.
Contacts and SMS
Only if you invite people to an event. The app can read contacts you pick and open Messages to send an invite you write. We do not upload your whole address book to market to you.
Calendar
Only to add events you choose to create. We may list calendars on the device so we can save that event. We do not read your existing events to profile or advertise to you.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a device push token so we can send nudges and alerts you or your partner trigger.

We may disclose information if required by law.
Partner linking
When you link, some profile and activity data becomes visible to that partner. Unlinking stops new sharing. Content already saved on their side may remain until it is deleted.
Surprise / private lists are meant to stay hidden from your partner. Do not put something private in a shared list.
Data retention
We keep account and couple data while you use xTap. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal data we control, except what we must keep for legal or security reasons (for example a short record of the deletion request).
Your choices
Change or delete items you created in the app
Unlink a partner in Settings
Turn off location, camera, photos, contacts, calendar, or notifications in iOS Settings
Request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account, by emailing support@xtap.app from the email on your account (Apple Hide My Email addresses are fine)
Children
xTap is intended for adults 17 and older. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think someone under 17 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
International storage
Data may be stored on servers in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top when we do. Continued use of xTap after an update means you accept the revised policy.
